Comedy on The Green at Crabapple Market

Saturday, August 20, 2022

Join us on on The Green at Crabapple Market as we enjoy nationally celebrated comedian, Jon Reep, as well as special guests of the area’s funniest, including selections from selected from our lead-up event, “Milton’s Funniest”!  Jon was the winner of the 5th season of “Last Comic Standing” and has been seen in Netflix’s “Brad Paisley’s Comedy Rodeo”, as well as in standup specials on Amazon Prime and “Comedy Central”.

While we’re raising money to support FOUR awesome local charities, our comedians/comediennes will have us laughing, local restaurants will keep bellies full, and of course there will be cocktails!

Proceeds from this event will benefit these FOUR amazing non-profit organizations!

Blessings in a Backpack

Blessings in a Backpack mobilizes communities, individuals and resources to provide food on the weekends to elementary school children who might otherwise go hungry.  More than 13 million kids in America are at risk of going hungry on the weekends. That is one in six children who struggle to access food for the 65 hours they are not at school.  Blessings in a Backpack‘s North Fulton program specifically covers children in our community.

StandUp for Kids

StandUp for Kids’ mission is to end the cycle of youth homelessness one youth at a time. They strive to build communities where all youth know care, feel loved and have a support system to help them move quickly from surviving to thriving.  Their North Fulton chapter provides the youth in our area the sense of safety, hope, and belonging through housing support, mentoring, drop-in centers, and street outreach.

Summit Counseling Center

Summit Counseling Center provides professional counseling, consultation and education services utilizing an integrated approach to care for the whole person – Body, Mind, Spirit, and Relationships.  They are responsive to our community’s needs and  helps to strengthen our community by partnering with local schools, businesses, churches and individuals to provide counseling, education and consulting services tailored specifically to meet both the immediate and long-term goals of people in need, as well as to aid in prevention and wellness.  Summit also offers client assistance funds to supplement the fees of people unable to afford private fees.

TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation

TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, located near Sandy Springs, is a non-profit organization created to address a gap in breast cancer rehabilitation services, for both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery.  Their mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals impacted by breast cancer by providing and advocating for specialized, evidence-based rehabilitation while minimizing socioeconomic, racial, cultural and geographic barriers to care.  This means that TurningPoint can provide services regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.  They are deeply passionate about helping all breast cancer survivors thrive and get back to doing the things they enjoy.
